We were unfamiliar with mead, a beverage created by fermenting honey with water, but were excited to learn all about it when Honey Pot Meadery approached us to establish their identity.
Although Honey Pot was just starting out, we wanted to create a brand image that felt established, modern, high-end, and fun. We explored quite a few different icons, colors, and fonts, and were thrilled with how the final logo turned out.
The icon is a stylized H based in a modern slab-serif typeface. The honey dipper at the center provides easy-to-understand imagery that honey is used as a core ingredient in all products. The combine to create unique icon that will be easily recognizable as it is used through all forms of media. The logotype combines a lowercased approachable element with an uppercase modern element that is inviting to a wide audience.
The business card designs have an easy-to-read front with a honey comb pattern on the back produced using thermography that provides a textured feel when held, making the card instantly memorable.
Collaborating with Honey Pot on the label designs produced a simplistic and modern layout that allows the color variation of each mead to be showcased in a prominent way.
The website extends the core of the brand values by providing an easy-to-use navigation allowing users to learn more about the company, find local stores to purchase mead, and integrates a VinoShipper shopping cart.
